Carlee saw her endocrynologist today. We've been very concerned with her weight and have had trouble getting her medication dossage correct. Today, her Dr. said her blood work came back perfect. We've found the right dose! And he's not real concerned with her weight. Said we're doing everything right, she just needs to exercise more. 1 hour a day is the recommended amount of exercise for children these days.
Carlee was relieved that her Dr. sounded so optimistic. He said she has a lot more growning to do and if we can maintain her weight where she is now, while she adds another 5 or 6 inches, she'll be right where she needs to be. (5 to 6 inches...wow...he's thinking 5'10" or 5'11"..maybe even 6') Anyway, it was good news. He gave her a pedometer to measure how much she's walking a day. Gave her a goal of 10,000 steps a day. She's very goal oriented so that will be a good challenge for her.
Went to church tonight. Now I'm kicking back relaxing.
